    Circumcision?
Q T.H. (15-17) asks...

My penis is circumcised. Is there anyway that I can retrieve my foreskin?
A T.H.:

Yes, there is a surgical process to restore or reconstruct foreskin.

Circumcision is the process of removing the foreskin (the flap of skin that originally covered the glans ("head") of the penis). This is usually done to some infants for religious or other reasons. It was originally thought that circumcision would promote better cleanliness by not covering up the glans. This, of course, is unnecessary if guys clean under their foreskin as they shower. Thus, it is not performed as often as it was in the past (although it is still a religious rite, especially for the Jewish).
